Baltimore Schools Leading the Way for Success

Recently, JiJi made a surprise visit to three schools in Baltimore, Maryland. These three schools are great examples for Baltimore City Public Schools; they are leading the way for implementing blended learning, fostering a positive school culture and increasing student success in math!

JiJi is the beloved penguin in the ST Math software games. Students help JiJi get past obstacles by solving math puzzles – and they associate JiJi with challenge, learning and the thrill of success. Every time a child demonstrates understanding of a math concept, JiJi crosses the screen, signaling success and leading the student to the next more challenging puzzle.

JiJi’s arrival at three schools in Baltimore was met with smiles, astonishment and cheers. Students huddled around JiJi, reaching out a hand to touch JiJi. We captured a few of these moments below. Share your favorites on Twitter and Facebook!
