ST Math Expands Impact Across America

20 Schools join ST Math through Verizon Innovative Learning Schools

Irvine, Calif., Oct. 10, 2022 — ST Math has announced their continued partnership with Verizon Innovative Learning Schools, enabling 20 additional schools across six districts to access a full site license to ST Math. This brings the program’s impact over the last nine years to over 100,000 students. The license with ST Math complements and enriches math programming at select participating schools within the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools program. This license also provides ongoing training and professional learning, personalized curricular support, coaching, and 24/7 access to a robust gallery of reports.

Verizon Innovative Learning Schools, in partnership with long-time nonprofit partner Digital Promise, aims to help close the digital divide by equipping students and teachers at select Title I schools across the country with free technology devices, internet access, and innovative STEM learning programs. The program also provides schools with extensive teacher training focused on integrating technology into the learning experience, support, and the opportunity to engage in powerful teaching and learning strategies that leverage technology.

ST Math is a visual instructional program that leverages the brain's innate spatial-temporal reasoning ability to solve mathematical problems. The program’s unique, patented approach provides students with equitable access to learning the state’s math standards through challenging puzzles, non-routine problem-solving, and informative feedback.

"We are thrilled to welcome 20 additional Verizon Innovative Learning Schools to our ST Math community!” said Chris Hara, ST Math’s Verizon Innovative Learning Schools Program Manager. “We look forward to working with the new cohort to ensure that all students are equipped to solve the world's most challenging problems."

The ST Math team will partner with this new group of administrators, staff, and students to help build aptitude and comprehension for rigorous problem-solving and a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics. The new school additions will bring ST Math to over 9,000 more students in Verizon Innovative Learning Schools. This brings the program’s impact over the last nine years to over 100,000 students.

“We are grateful to be able to offer ST Math to our newest cohort of Verizon Innovative Learning Schools,” said Ryan Higgins, Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility at Verizon. “With the ever-increasing importance of STEM skills, we are thrilled to provide these schools with an innovative way to teach problem-solving skills and math.”
