Irvine, Calif., Dec. 19, 2018 - MIND Research Institute (MIND) has named Dorene Uhrich as Vice President of Education Success. The appointment recognizes Uhrich’s previous roles at the organization where she trained colleagues and education partners to effectively implement and utilize MIND’s visual instructional program, ST Math®.
Uhrich first joined MIND in 2009 as a Training and Support Specialist and grew her career with the nonprofit social benefit organization for over eight years. She was promoted to Training and Implementation Specialist in 2012. In that role, Uhrich designed a three-month training program for new hires and redesigned MIND’s certification program for presenters, preparing the education success team to deliver professional development to teachers, consult with principals about their implementation and technology, and analyze student and school data to identify possible challenges and opportunities.
“Dorene Uhrich’s enthusiasm for training has been central to our impact on educators using the ST Math program,” said Brett Woudenberg, CEO of MIND. “Her drive for excellence, combined with her talent for empowering others, will continue to perfect the experience our partners receive from our education success team members.”
Uhrich was promoted to Manager of Staff Development and Certification in 2014 where she created in-person and online content for colleague trainings. Uhrich’s role increasingly expanded to improving organization processes to better serve schools, and in 2017 she was appointed Senior Manager of Education Success.
“I’ve seen firsthand in my own classroom, and now with my own children, how effective ST Math is and I’m honored to be back at MIND helping to achieve our mission,” Uhrich said. “It’s a thrill to be able to bring the program to even more classrooms and to work with talented and passionate team members.”
Most recently, Uhrich served as a Regional Director of Customer Success at Imagine Learning, a digital language, literacy, and math company. She holds an M.Ed in education and human resource studies with a specialization in adult education and training from Colorado State University, and a teaching credential and bachelor’s in liberal studies from California State University, Long Beach.
