ADVISORY: Pinellas Students, Educators Will Gather to Celebrate Hyundai Grant Supporting STEM Education

WHAT: Hundreds of Pinellas County Schools students, teachers and community supporters will gather to accept a grant from Hyundai Motor America to establish a blended learning math program at three Pinellas schools. The grant is part of the Hyundai ST Math Initiative, which aims to improve the math skills of young students and propel them toward high school graduation and college success, especially in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. Pinellas students are among thousands in four metro areas across the nation selected to receive the grant from Hyundai through a partnership with the nonprofit MIND Research Institute, which develops ST Math®. The event will include a tour to see students learning in the ST Math lab funded by the grant, remarks by administrators and a check presentation.

The Hyundai ST Math Initiative will benefit over 6,000 students and 200 teachers in Chicago; New York City; Spring, Texas and Pinellas, Florida.
