With Thanksgiving just behind us, and as we prepare to celebrate and enjoy the upcoming holiday festivities, there’s much to be thankful for. There are many opportunities to express our gratitude for what we have and so many ways to contribute to a greater cause.
Giving Tuesday, celebrated on the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving, encourages participants in one simple thing: do good. As a nonprofit, giving back to the community has always been at the heart of MIND’s mission, and we’re excited to celebrate any occasion to “do good”.
The past couple of years have been unlike any other, and we’re seeing the impact of the pandemic on student math achievement—and learning in general. But with the generous support of our donors and supporters, we continued to deepen student access to meaningful math learning during the 2021-2022 school year.
As we prepare to wrap up 2022 and welcome the new year, I’d like to share a few ways you can support MIND Research Institute this holiday season. Together, we can continue to fulfill MIND’s mission to ensure all students are mathematically equipped to solve the world’s most challenging problems.
Here are 5 ways you can support MIND this holiday season:
Did you know that you can support MIND through your Amazon purchases? By shopping on the AmazonSmile site (smile.amazon.com) and selecting “MIND Research Institute” as your beneficiary, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to MIND.
I truly hope MIND is your charitable organization of choice. Did you know, this year MIND was able to expand its ST Math reach to more than 2.2 million students and 115,000 teachers in over 7,400 schools across all 50 states?
Our impact numbers were the largest they have ever been in MIND’s twenty-four-year history! This is one of the many great things we accomplished together in 2022.
If you want to purchase gifts for the upcoming holiday season, visit our MIND Marketplace! There you’ll find various items related to ST Math, MIND Research Institute, the MathMINDs Games, and more.
Our JiJi Store also has neat class sets for ST Math students and educators. Whether you need to stock up on school supplies or sport some of our cool JiJi swag, we have a fun selection for you to choose from: notebooks, pens, T-shirts, stickers, a soft and huggable JiJi plush, and more. You can also rest easy knowing that all purchases made at the MIND Marketplace help fund our mission.

In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, we’d also like to share how MIND gives back to the community. Over the years, we’ve recognized the tremendous impact educators have had on their students and are thankful for all the effort they’ve made to ensure their students have a brighter future. That’s why we created the Paco Bazaar!
Each time we gather for our organization-wide conference, MIND artists and designers create limited-edition and one-of-a-kind art pieces to raise money for school projects. In May 2022, they sold these pieces during MINDShare, allowing their fellow MIND colleagues to participate in the fundraising effort. With the money we raised this year, we were able to give to two different schools. Read all about it here!
On behalf of everyone at MIND, I would like to say how grateful we are for partners like you. As we celebrate the holiday season, let’s find ways to continue giving back to our communities and each other.
