Listen In: Leveraging Game-based Learning to Increase STEM Engagement

Irvine, Calif., Aug 24, 2015 WHAT: STEMconnector, in collaboration with MIND Research Institute, will host an online town hall, "Leveraging Game-Based Learning to Increase STEM Engagement." Hear from educational game experts, teachers and students about the real-world impact of learning through games. Explore examples of how students have taken ownership of their learning experiences, honed social skills and used collaborative learning techniques by building their own math games. Look beyond the achievement gap into the “experience gap” where too many students miss out on the rich, hands-on mathematical experiences that lead to deeper learning and greater joy in the education process – and discuss how games can help bridge this gap.

WHEN: 2-3:30 p.m. Eastern, Tuesday, August 25, 2015
