Orange County Law Partner Joins K-12 Math Education Nonprofit Board
Irvine, Calif., June 29, 2017 The social benefit nonprofit and leader in K-12 math education software MIND Research Institute announced the addition of Jeffrey Reeves to its Board of Directors. Reeves, Partner in the Orange County office of the leading global law firm, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, joined the board this spring.
“We’re thrilled to have Jeff join our Board and share his leadership and expertise with us,” said MIND Research Institute Chairman John Phelan. “With his extensive experience in complex business matters and intellectual property at Gibson Dunn, Jeff will provide a different and valuable perspective that will only enhance and further move forward our efforts to improve math education in the U.S.”
Reeves is a litigation partner at Gibson Dunn, where he handles high-profile sports law, cybersecurity and complex business litigation cases. He has been with the firm his entire career. He recently received the Anti-Defamation League's Marcus Kaufman Jurisprudence Award that the Orange County Chapter of the ADL bestows each year on attorneys who make outstanding contributions to the legal profession and to the community. Reeves earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Texas A&M University and attended the University of Houston Law Center where he served as Research Editor for the Houston Law Review and graduated cum laude in 1991.
