Guest Blogging Policy

MIND Research Institute welcomes blogs that highlight best practices in math education, blended learning and innovative learning strategies that inspire students at all ages. On the MIND Research Institute Blog, we welcome guest authors to join our conversation about education with posts that will serve the interests of our audiences.

Submitting and Publishing Articles

Please submit a draft of your article that meets the following guidelines to blog@mindresearch.org with “Guest blog draft submission” in the subject line for consideration and review:

  • Write an original post in 1,000 words or less, attached as a word document.
  • Use proper spelling and grammar.
  • Give credit and cite content where necessary.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest.
  • Submit one quality photo that relates to the article. (Authors may submit original or personal photos, graphics, diagrams, etc. Photos and graphics created by other individuals or companies must be listed with one of the following creative commons licenses: Attribution [CC BY], Attribution-NoDerivs [CC BY-ND] or Attribution-ShareAlike [CC BY-SA].)
  • Write a brief author’s biography in 100 words or less.

Upon submission, review and approval, MIND Research Institute will publish the article to blog.mindresearch.org/blog.

Compensation

MIND Research Institute considers compensation for guest articles under specific circumstances and on a case-by-case basis. Compensation, primarily non-monetary, is not guaranteed and is offered as a special thank you for submitting guest authors. MIND Research Institute does not solicit submissions from contract-for-hire bloggers. Any specific compensation requested from MIND Research Institute will be discussed and confirmed in writing by MIND Research Institute prior to the blog posting.

Terms and Disclosure

MIND Research Institute reserves the right to edit content, spelling, grammar, etc. upon approval from the author. MIND Research Institute reserves the right to refuse to publish any works submitted for review for any reasons, which we are not obligated to disclose to the guest author. Reasons for rejecting a guest article include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Inaccurate information or facts
  • Incomplete submission
  • Excessive grammatical or spelling errors
  • Irrelevance to the blog, its existing content, theme and focus
  • Article is published elsewhere
  • Discussion of competitive products or companies of MIND Research Institute

MIND Research Institute will not always be able to respond to rejected submissions. If you don't hear back from us within two weeks, feel free to publish your guest post elsewhere.

MIND Research Institute also reserves the right to remove any published works by a guest author from the blog without prior warning or explanation to the author. All original content submitted by the guest author will remain intellectual property of the author.

By submitting a guest-authored article for review, you are agreeing to the terms outlined in this Guest Posting Policy. For questions regarding guest authoring or guest articles on the MIND Research Institute Blog, please email blog@mindresearch.org.

MIND Research Institute reserves the right to change this Guest Blogging Policy at any time.

 

 

Claims of Infringement

MIND Research Institute respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we ask our guest bloggers to do the same. MIND Research Institute may, in its sole discretion, remove blog posts that violate others' intellectual property rights.

If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes infringement on the MIND Research Institute blog, please provide the following information to blog@mindresearch.org:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity.
  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed ("Complaining Party").
  • A statement that the Complaining Party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

 

Content Usage Policy

MIND Research Institute permits bloggers, journalists or writers to summarize and excerpt blog posts found on blog.mindresearch.org/blog on their blog or website with attribution to the original article, the author and blog.mindresearch.org/blog.

Please abide by the following guidelines:

  • Write the following attribution line before or after the excerpt:
    Read the full article, (“Article Title” with hyperlink to the original post) by (Author Name), on (“MIND Research Institute’s blog.” hyperlinked http://blog.mindresearch.org/blog.)
  • Publish 48 hours following the original publish date and time on the MIND Research Institute Blog.
  • Do not alter, edit, change, or revise any written or visual content in the excerpt.

Translations

MIND Research Institute permits bloggers to translate its works into additional languages so long as it follows the Content Usage Policy guidelines above. MIND Research Institute is not responsible for any mistranslations of the works.
