Rabbits, The Key to Math

Operation Operators
PS 174 William Sidney Mount

Game description: The Rabbits needs to escape the dungeon and get to the other side of the board by answering multiplication and long division questions. This game is for grades 4 and up.

  • This game is for up to 4 players.
  • You will need a dice, paper, a pencil for calculations, and a timer (set for 15 seconds).
  • Each player chooses a Bunny piece, and then you go to the Start Dungeon with your Bunny.
  • First, roll the die. Whoever gets the highest number gets to choose their path first. The paths are Original, Crazy 8, Labyrinth, and Divided Ways.
  • Roll the dice, and move the number of spaces you rolled.
  • During your adventure, you might land on a math card block.
  • If you land on it, you have to draw a card from the Math Card pile, and answer that question in under 15 seconds. The math cards include long division and two digit multiplication.
  • If your answer is correct, you take the shortcut. If you get it wrong, you take the longer way.
  • There are also other game blocks you may encounter. One of them is a Sapphire. It makes you move backwards two spaces.
  • The other one is a diamond. It moves you an additional two spaces.
  • Keep on taking turns. The first player who reaches the key is the winner!
