Game description: The objective of our game is to reach the end of the board to receive the powerful Gem, and evade the evil Hybrid Goblin Dragon by using multiplication fluency math concepts.

  • Target Audience: 4th Graders
  • Place the Game Board on a flat surface.
  • Place cards on the right of the game board facing downwards.
  • Place figures on starting area labeled START in the bottom-left corner of the board.
  • Choose who goes first by doing rock, paper, scissors, and start the game.
  • Players draw cards, and do  an equation, (x times 5 = 15) or a problem (3 x 4 = x). If they get the equation/problem right, they move the indicated number located on the bottom of the card ( except mushroom forest, rule number #8).
  • If the player gets the equation/problem incorrect, they do not move at all.
  • Players can be on the same space at the same time.
  • If you land on goblin tile (goblin face on tile), stay there until everyone completes their turn.
  • If you land on a black hole trap (a tile that is completely black), skip a turn .
  • If you land on a goblin village tile (a tile with the houses on it), skip a turn
  • If you aren’t the only person on a black hole trap/goblin village icon, both people skip their turn.
  • If you land on the mushroom forest icon, (icon tile with the most arrows coming from the right-top corner of the map) draw a card and move two spaces (if you get it right), no matter what the number indicated the spaces you move says
  • On any tile with two arrows facing left and right, if you land on it you may choose which way you can go, if you pass over it, you have to go the long way.
  • First player to reach the end and evade the Goblin Hybrid Dragon wins.
