Fraction Portals

Game description: This game is a board game that involves players picking up a card from the fraction deck and then answering fraction problems.   The object of the game is to get all the way around the game board.

The game really helps kids learn and practice fractions and I think that it is super cool, and fun so I hope that you will too! I think that my game is important and unique, because I have never really ever heard of, played, or saw any kind of game that involves fractions and to be honest, I was actually having a lot of trouble understanding fractions a couple of years ago but when I started getting the idea of fractions I thought that they were so cool and so I decided to make this game about them. 

• The game can have 2-4 players
• First, the player picks up a card from the fraction deck
• Second, the player answers the fraction problem and writes the answer in the answer box
• Third, the player to his/her right checks the answer, the correct answer is written on the back of the card.
• If the player is correct then he/she moves their game piece the number of spaces that is also written on the back of the card.
• On the back of the card it says how many spaces you go but the amount of spaces on the back of the card depends on how hard the problem is. For example, if it is a super hard fraction problem then there will probably be four spaces on the back of the card.
• If the player lands on a blue portal the player must move his/her game piece to the closest portal in front of them. There are also two special cards. One of them say go back to start, and the other one says go forward two spaces.
• The object of the game is to get all the way around the game board.
