JiJi means many things to different people: a guide, a friend, someone to help overcome obstacles. We asked our teachers and students using ST Math to show us what JiJi meant to them by creating a music video based on a JiJi-fied song in the JiJi Believer Video Challenge.
Congratulations to all of this year’s participants! With 18 music videos full of math excitement, teamwork and love for JiJi, our MIND colleagues had a dififcult time determining their top choices. Video entries were judged based on how they showcased creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, ST Math concepts and most importantly, FUN!
In Third Place, "Math Machine" by Brooker Creek Elementary School students from Pinellas County, Florida:
In Second Place, "Good Time with JiJi" by PS 310 Marble Hill fourth graders from the Bronx, New York:
In First Place, we would like to honor the first grade students from Northwest Elementary in Pinellas County, Florida! These students and teachers submitted an original song, "JiJi! ST Math!", complete with creative lyrics, a penguin dance and break dancing!
Congratulations and thank you!
