Yee-haw!
MIND Research Institute encored its popular Wild West Charity Bingo Night on January 22 to a sold-out crowd in Irvine, California. More than 100 people gathered at Strawberry Farms Golf Club, many dressed in boots and cowboy hats, to play 10 rounds of bingo.
Drawings for donated prizes included give-aways of a golf package, tickets to musical theater, a flight simulator experience, original artwork and more. Humana Ahmed of Comerica won a MIND Research-facilitated Family Math Night at the school of her choice.Between games, guests competed in math challenge bingo dubbed “mingo” and issued warrants to send one another to be booked into the Wild West Jail.
“Giving our children math skills means opening doors to opportunity and success in the innovation economy,” said Janine Ingram, Vice President of Philanthropy at MIND Research. “We’re grateful to our national sponsors and community friends who turned out to support math education while proving that playing with numbers is fun.”
