Thankful for Every Learner: Math for Every Mind

As we gather to give thanks this season, our hearts are filled with gratitude for all learners and educators who continue to inspire us on our mission to mathematically equip all students to solve the world’s most challenging problems.

At MIND, inclusivity isn't just a goal—it's a cornerstone. Our mission extends far beyond the traditional classroom. We're dedicated to creating an educational landscape where every student, regardless of their background or ability, can proudly say, "I am a math person." And by all students, we mean those from every dimension of diversity and background.

We believe that every student has the potential for brilliance and creativity. Unfortunately, inequities in education can prevent students from harnessing their true learning potential. That's why we've made it our priority to elevate inclusive math education to the forefront of our efforts, addressing inequities that arise from gender, race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status.

MIND’s journey involves not only refining our internal practices but also partnering with like-minded organizations and donors who share our vision. We're committed to developing culturally relevant math curricula where students see their strengths reflected back at them. This involves building solutions that provide personalized pathways to high math achievement and fostering positive math identities.

Our work is far from over. As we continue to listen, learn, and grow, we are dedicated to creating an environment where every learner feels valued, heard, and empowered. As we give thanks during the month of November, we celebrate the limitless potential of all students.

Together, we are changing the narrative of who can succeed in math, ensuring that the answer to "Who is a math person?" is always, "Me!"
