The Month of Math!

Did you know April is Math Awareness Month? As you can imagine, all of us at MIND Research are excited about the next 30 days of celebrating all things math! The folks at the Mathematical Association of America (@MAA) and MathAware.org (@MathAware) created Math Awareness Month to increase public understanding of and appreciation for math. This year’s theme, Mathematics, Magic & Mystery, echoes the title of a book written many years ago by renowned math popularizer Martin Gardner. (Some of the concepts Gardner helped familiarize include polynomials and hexaflexagons.) Of course, at MIND Research, we’re committed to taking the mystery out of math for hundreds of thousands of K-12 students across the country. If you’re curious about how our program is changing the math landscape for schools that have implemented ST Math, we encourage you to check out this feature article recently published by TakePart: “How a Dyslexic Neuroscientist’s iPad App Will Boost Your Kid’s Math Scores.
