Inside Our MIND Podcast: A New Paradigm for EdTech Evaluation

In the inaugural episode of our education podcast, we uncover why and how traditional edtech evaluation needs to change.

By Brian LeTendre February 8, 2018

Today, MIND is excited to announce the launch of our flagship podcast, Inside Our MIND.

With each episode of Inside Our MIND, we'll be taking a look at issues and challenges facing education that we are working to address through research, technology and strategic initiatives.

In our inaugural episode, host Brian LeTendre sits down with MIND's Chief Data Science Officer Andrew Coulson to talk about edtech evaluation. In the discussion, Andrew discusses the subject of his recent blog post on the need for a paradigm shift in edtech evaluation, and why multiple field studies are more valid than single gold standard experiments when gauging program impact.

You can listen to the episode in the player below:

You can also read Andrew's full blog post and download the evaluation rubric.

Thanks for listening to the podcast! Please leave us a review on iTunes, Google Play (coming soon!), Spreaker or wherever you are listening to the show. Subscribe to get future episodes as soon as they are released!
